Your dog is welcome to stay at The Tollgate Hotel in one of our three designated pet dog friendly rooms.
The Tollgate Hotel is surrounded by plenty of grounds for your dog to explore.
Our team can also provide you with details of many local walks around the village and local area
in addition to the numerous walking routes on offer across the nearby South Downs National Park.
We can hopefully accommodate your dog by pre-arrangement only.

In The Room and Public Areas
If your dog will be alone in your room whilst you enjoy breakfast,
please make sure they're settled and
unlikely to cause damage or disturb other guests.
We recommend keeping the TV on to cover up
any background noise that may unsettle your protective pup.
Perhaps give them a chew toy to discourage chomping on chair legs!
Put the 'do not disturb' sign on your door
and remember to let us know where you'll be, just in case.
Your companions may join you in the garden
but please keep them on a lead.
Unfortunately, we don't allow dogs in the main public areas
including the restaurant, lounge or bar.
If you're leaving the hotel grounds please remember to
take your dog with you!

We all know accidents happen.
To avoid these, please ensure your dog is comfortable & relaxed.
You will be liable for any damage your dog
may cause to the property whilst staying with us.

Please bring a bed for your furry friend.
Please make sure they stick to their own bed
to ensure they don't go on any other furniture in the room.
Things to Bear in Mind
You are fully responsible for cleaning up after your dog
when in the hotel or around the gardens & grounds.
Dog breeds must be declared at the time of booking
and all inoculations must be up to date.
No more than two dogs per room.
Supplementary charge of £20 per dog, per night will apply
in order for us to special clean your room.
A £50 pre-authorisation will be put on hold
upon check in to the hotel to cover any incidentals.
This will get released upon check out.
